We have thought long and hard about how to proceed in these crazy times. The facts are, in Dinner Theater, closeness with the audience is imperative. Our actors and singers get to know the audience. We sing, project, dance, and emote right next to and in the crowd. We sing to you and at you. We literally get right in your faces… Moreover, we operate in small restaurant venues, and cannot afford to operate with partial seating in order to maintain distance. These are all very important elements of Dinner Theater, and of Salty shows specifically. Our top priority is the safety of our actors, our staff, and to you, our audience members.
For these reasons, Salty Dinner Theater will not run a regular full show again in 2020. We plan to proceed in February of 2021 with a full season.
But DON’T PANIC!!!
We are going to be around, and offer you some unique Salty entertainment. Here is our 2020 plan:
For anyone and everyone:
Through the end of the year- we will be posting an interview with one of our actors each week, as well as clips from some of our past shows.
For season ticket holders:

June and July
We are going to bring Salty to YOU (in a safe, distanced way)! We are going to bring a mini yard concert to each and every one of our season ticket holders that would like it. One of your favorite salty singers will set up on the park strip or front yard, and give you your own personal Salty singing telegram (feel free to alert your neighbors etc, and make everyone’s day special). Feel free to schedule this treat around a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion, or, just an awesome pick me up for your summer. (Please keep in mind, you’ll need a 10ft distance from the singer, as droplets can travel far when singing).
If you would prefer it to be a personalized video instead of in person, that option is available as well. Watch for an email to choose your preference and schedule.
August and September
- Virtual truth or dare with our actors.
- Virtual paint night with Corie, our resident artist.
- Virtual dance classes for a fun time.

- Drive in spooky musical haunting. A family friendly, Halloween evening with some of your favorite Halloween monsters in attendance.
December
- Santa nights. We feel confident that we can resume Santa nights in a safe way. We will be scheduling families for a private time slot rather than an open house.
- Sub for Santa event for December. To be determined if it will be virtual, or a safe, in person event.
Your season tickets will carry over into 2021. You will get to enjoy these out of the box activities in 2020, plus your remaining tickets will be good for our 2021 season:

June: A Murder Mystery
October: Dracula
December: Santa nights, A Christmas Carol benefit show.
